1. UX and teenage sex

The following phrase is still (unfortunately) valid.

“UX is like teenage sex: everyone talks about it, no one really knows how to do it, everyone thinks everyone does it, so everyone says they do it…”

It was adapted from the following phrase by Dan Ariely, applied to the universe of Big Data.

“Big data is like teenage sex: everyone talks about it, nobody really knows how to do it, everyone thinks everyone else is doing it, so everyone claims they are doing it…”

With this state of the art, the practice of User Experience (UX) is framed. Our colleagues, clients and consultants work in this context. And the context determines everything.
