Ministry of the User
2. UX is everything
“User experience (UX) covers all aspects of the end user’s interaction with the company, its services and its products”

The phrase is from Don Norman, who is credited with inventing the term in the period 1993–1997 while working at Apple.
Norman lists the stages that make up the Apple computer experience:
- When you discover it
- When you see it in the store
- When you buy it
- When you try to load it in your vehicle
- When you get home and open the box
- When you combine the pieces to make it work
- When you tell someone else about the product
And he adds:
“Currently, (UX) is a horribly misused term. There are people who say: ‘I am the user experience designer, I design websites and apps.’ “They have no idea what they are doing.” (1)
Why do we keep arguing if UX is just the UI?
Where is Customer Experience (CX) in this definition?
Why are there many in the industry still pursuing the inclusion of CX practice instead of UX?
The user is king
