How can it be that the best pop band in history isn’t made up of the best musicians in history?

What is beyond technique that allows for the creation of extraordinary teams?

What we call “synergy” and others refer to as “egregore” is that collective mind, which needs individuals but is greater than them. More elevated, more refined, better.

The connection between individuals doesn’t always generate synergy. In fact, it is more likely that a group of people will never build an egregor that envelops them and allows each individual to flow in a common purpose with results better than those they would achieve individually.

Could it have been George Martin? Brian Epstein? The era? The innovation? All of that together? We can endlessly debate about it.

What is indisputable is that an extraordinary team is greater than the sum of its parts. And to achieve this, they must build a collective mind, an egregor. Building an egregor requires, as a necessary condition, to set aside egos and align individual wills to a common purpose.
